CHR Home Construction was built by Refugio Madera Pacheco on a simple promise: show up on the day you said, tell people the truth about what the job actually needs, and do the work properly the first time. We've grown almost entirely by word of mouth across Knoxville, Alcoa, Maryville, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge and Clinton — one driveway, one slab, one referral at a time.

Pouring concrete in East Tennessee teaches you things no spec sheet will. Red clay that swells when it is wet and shrinks back when it dries, taking whatever sits on it along for the ride. Limestone close enough to the surface to hit with a mini-ex on one lot, and soft undocumented fill on the next. Summer afternoons that shorten the finishing window from two hours to twenty minutes. Hillside lots in Seymour and Maryville where a footing has to go deeper on the downhill side than the drawing assumed. We've learned all of it in the trench, and it shows in the parts of a slab you never see.

Today we pour slick trowel-finish floors for garages, basements, shops and warehouses; broom-finish driveways, aprons, sidewalks, patios and equipment pads; stamped and washed decorative concrete; and the footers, stem walls and slabs on grade that houses, additions, garages, barns and retaining walls are built on. Refugio walks and prices every job himself, and works the pour. We're open Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, and there is $500 off your next pour when you send us a referral.
