Footers, Foundations & Slabs
The structural concrete everything else is built on
Footers are the part of the job nobody sees and every other part depends on. We dig, form, reinforce and pour footings, stem walls and slabs on grade for houses, additions, garages, shops, barns, decks and retaining walls across Knox, Blount, Loudon, Anderson and Roane counties. East Tennessee soil makes that work specific: the red clay across most of the region holds water and moves with it, there is limestone close to the surface in places and soft fill in others, and a footing has to sit on undisturbed bearing soil below the frost line regardless of which one you have found. So we dig to bearing, not to a number on a drawing, and we say so if what comes out of the trench is not what the plan assumed. Rebar is tied and chaired to the drawing, anchor bolts and hold-downs are set while the concrete is wet, plumbing and conduit are sleeved before the pour rather than cut in after it, and we pour on a schedule your inspector and your framer can both work to.
